Holding a guitar pcik part 2

Here is the perfect hand holding a guitar pick. The pick is extending out between the thumb and index finger. The more pick that is extending the easier to strum. The less pick the is extending the harder the pick is and the firmer the pick will strike the strings.

If you find you pick flapping or you hear it when you play try extending it less or use a harder pick.

Also notice the fingers are all curled like a fist. This will stop you from trying to rest your hand on the guitar while playing and will not allow you any bad habits. If you find you already have a tendacy to rest you hand on the guitar curl your fingers in a fist and break it, your playing will get faster and you will get more control of you hand as well.
