Guitar chords are the most fun and the most important fundamental step in learning to play the guitar.
Most guitar courses, music schools, guitar teachers, and books always start beginner guitarists by playing a few notes up and down the first three to five frets of the guitar. While this may be easy for students by the time the get to the sixth string they are bored and the notes they are playing or not really the music they want to hear.
Eventually beginners either quit learning the guitar or find someone who will teach them chords, strumming, rhythm, and yes the music they want to hear being played.
Because of this one aspect learn to play the chords is rewarding for everyone, and when you learn more and more chords the better you become as a guitarist and the more enjoyment you have play.
Chords being important is that under those fingers are the greatest notes for any melody or solo to accompany those chords. If you learn the notes of each finger of a chord you will be able to create some of the best solos and melodies possible of any musician.
Our Guitar Chords 101 Course will teach you not only some very cool chords, but how to move the chords around the fretboard so you can play any position on the guitar neck.
Think you know all the chords you need to know, here is a little quiz for you.
Play a C chord – not the open c chord or the one using the first three frets of the guitar. That chord is for the accompanying guitarist. You need to play a C chord with a different tone. How about one on the 12th fret might be good and then you can play a few riffs using the same notes. Got it? If you took the basic D chord and moved it to the 12th fret then you found the one I was thinking about.
Being able to play a different chord is needed when you are playing with several musicians, everyone need to play in they own space and tonal range.
But if you want to solo you will need a few more C chords so you can solo around the neck and in multiple tonal ranges to develop a complete solo for 12 bars.
Our Guitar Chords will teach you three or four chords up the neck, and we will then teach you three or four chords across the strings such as strings 1-2-3 liek the D chord to strings 2-3-4, to 3,4,5, and then 4-5-6. Now you have several tonal ranges for accompaniment and for soloing as well.
We will make sure you understand how these chords are created and how other chords are derived from the basic five chords structures.

Guitar Scales can be either boring, or the beginning to a wonderful relationship.
If you only learn the notes up and down the fretboard, or up and down a string you will be bored. But if you learn then in a one octave pattern, and them move that pattern around to six other places on fretboard you can have fun playing scales.
How about playing them using 3rds, 4ths, or 5ths, not this is not only fun but great for the ears and excellent for developing a few riffs along the way.
Need more fun, or let take that major scale and play a minor scale with it. Combining scales is also another method to have fun playing scales.

To learn the guitar and the master the fundamentals of the guitar we have developed a Teaching Approach that incorporates some of the past successful teaching methods but then changes after the fundamentals of the guitar have been covered.
A guitarist must learn the fundamentals of the guitar (notes, chords, scales, rhythm, soloing and basic music theory) and be able to apply these fundamentals . Being able to apply these fundamentals is the difference between and professional and a hobby guitarist.
Once you know and can play the fundamentals we then change our teaching approach from the standard music and tablature teaching approach to playing by ear. While we want everyone to play by ear, we also want everyone to understand the concepts and be able to write any music they hear down.
Each lesson is designed to be one week long. Each course has twelve lessons and we have five fundamental courses to get you started.
Subscribe today and get started on your journey to becoming a well educated guitarist. Our low price is designed so everyone can afford to learn to play the guitar.
